Acclaimed Gourmet Concept Prepares to Bring Cult FavoriteHot Dogs, Sausages and Burgers Across State Lines

Hot off the successful opening of its first franchise location in Canoga Park, CA earlier this summer, Dog Haus, the SoCal-based gourmet hot dog, sausage and burger concept, has announced a slew of newly planned locations and openings to bring “The Absolute Würst” to locales throughout the West and beyond. With more than 70 restaurants planned across California, Colorado, Utah, and, most recently, Arizona, the three-year-old fast-casual concept continues to set its sights beyond its Pasadena hometown with the vision that originally inspired Partners Andre Vener, Hagop Giragossian and Quasim Riaz to found Dog Haus in 2010.

To kick off this next wave of Dog Haus’ expansion, the hot concept will open a franchise in West Covina (2678 East Garvey Avenue South) in eastern LA County onOctober 4th, with the first Orange County restaurant in Santa Ana at the Westfield Mall (2800 N. Main Street) following suit shortly thereafter. The restaurant, which will boast an impressive 40-foot facade, will not only be the first Dog Haus outside of LA County, but will also be their first location at a major shopping center.

Subsequent openings this fall will include restaurants in Burbank (3817 West Olive Avenue), also in the LA area, and Thousand Oaks (50 East Thousand Oaks Blvd.) in Ventura County just north of LA. With these anticipated fall restaurants, Dog Haus will have opened five franchise locations by the end of the year, including Canoga Park, more than doubling in size in just a six month period. Early 2015 will see further growth, with additional franchise locations in North Hollywood (4929 Lankershim Blvd.) in LA proper; Fullerton (2555 E Chapman Ave.) in Orange County; and Dog Haus’ first out-of-state restaurant in Centennial, Colorado (12023 East Arapahoe Rd). Locations are also in the works for La Verne, Fontana and Azusa in LA County, where additional leases have been signed.

As Dog Haus prepares for this next stage of growth, Culinary Director Michael Brown and new “Würstmacher” Adam Gertler, who is overseeing the creation and production of the brand’s proprietary sausages, will work closely with the partners to ensure that the quality is consistent from California to Colorado and everywhere in between.
