Feeling hungry? Why don’t we taco ’bout it! Now in its 25th year, Wild & Crazy Taco Night has become one of the most popular events in Orange County! Get ready for a fun and festive evening where Orange County’s finest chefs and restaurants each prepare an unusual and unique taco. The chefs’ creativity is endless and the food leaves guests talking for the rest of the year!
See your favorite OC chefs at their most creative as they compete to come up with the most unusual tacos you’ll see all year, all for a great cause. In 2017, the top-rated taco as chosen by attendees was El Heroé Taco with crispy melted cheese, filet mignon, Maine lobster, avocado, Heroé sauce, jalapeño pico, on a maíz azul tortilla created by newcomer Puesto’s Chef Katy Smith. Other delectable options included a California hot chicken taco from Haven Gastropub’s Chef Greg Daniels, a slow-braised beef tongue and beef cheek taco from from Pueblo’s Chef John Beber, and a pineapple pork vindaloo taco from ADYA’s Chef Shachi Mehra. All tacos are conceived exclusively for this event and can’t be found anywhere else! Tickets include all-you-can-eat tacos and beverages, including DesMaDre Tequila margaritas and beer from local favorite Barley Forge Brewing Co.
You don’t want to miss the pre-event VIP Party! Participating guests will enjoy early admission into the event and will have the opportunity to meet all of the chefs and sample their tacos before the general event begins. The VIP Reception has sold out each year.
Event proceeds benefit the SOS Food Pantry, feeding more than 235 Orange County families each day. Ticket price includes all-you-can-eat tacos and assorted beverages (margaritas, beer, soda, water).
