85°C Bakery Cafe, the global Asian coffee chain, is starting the dreaded work week off with a sweet treat. Every Monday, 85°C will offer customers its wildly popular Sea Salt Coffee for only $0.85 for any size. The promotion will run for the rest of 2017 in all 85°C Bakery Cafe stores throughout the United States, sweetening customers’ lives on the hardest day of the week.

The name “85°C” refers to the bakery chain’s founder Wu Cheng-Hsueh’s belief that 85°C (185°F) is the optimal temperature to brew coffee. 85°C first gained international acclaim with their sea salt coffee beverages. The striking drink packs in a diverse palate of textures and flavors, giving taste buds a delightful zing through a hint of salt to perk up the creamy and sweet taste of their premium espresso coffee and tea beverages.

85°C achieves this unique experience by mixing sea salt right into the foamy sweet cream that tops its artisanal roasted coffees, creating a medley of enhanced flavors tasted with each sip. Each cup of sweet and slightly salty coffee is individually brewed with Guatemalan coffee beans roasted in Taiwan, for a smooth, rich taste. All drinks are handcrafted and made to order.

“We crafted our sea salt coffee as a special mix of flavors and techniques to bring a refreshing new palate to our customers around the world,” says Emily Hu, 85°C Marketing Director. “We want to celebrate our unique coffee and introduce it to even more customers through our $0.85 sea salt coffee Mondays.”

The specialty coffee is one of the bakery’s best sellers and has been so popular that 85°C estimates serving more than 7.5 million cups of the beverage to customers around the world each year.

85°C Bakery Cafe began in 2004 in Taiwan and quickly spread across Asia. The brand now operates more than 985 stores worldwide, with heavy expansion in the US as a major market focus through the demand for more varied flavors, artisanal products and international food offerings. Stores are in Dallas, Northern California, Southern California, San Diego and Seattle.

Baked fresh every hour, the bakery also serves up a diverse menu of 60 types of Asian-European influenced pastries, gourmet cakes, and baked goods such as Marble Taro bread, Calamari Stick squid ink buns, Berrytale blueberry cream cheese sweet bread, Choco Buns, Walnut Raisin bread, strawberry cream cakes, fresh fruit tarts, and mango crème brulee along with coffee, tea, smoothies, and other blended drinks in a fresh and ready concept.
