You’ll receive pointers and tipson exactly what judges want in a winning pie. The class is hands-on and students leave with finished pies.
Hosted by KCRW radio’s Evan Kleiman, Carol Cotner Thompson, Director of Culinary Education and Pastry Chef Briana Bielucke teach this hands-on pie making class using the freshest seasonal stone fruit and berries provided by FarmBoxLA. The chefs will work with the class as they master the perfect crust and learn the right techniques to produce this ultimate American dessert. Students will leave with their finished pie. Laundered aprons, freshly brewed Stumptown coffee and the beautiful main kitchen of New School of Cooking make this a not to be missed event. A light meal will be served.
